Every tradie has the ute console full of Bunnings receipts. AI receipt capture means you snap the receipt, the details are read for you, and the data lands in your accounting software for BAS time.

How to choose
- Check your job app first. AroFlo has an AI bill scanner, Tradify's SmartTools reads supplier bills, and BackOnTools scans supplier invoices into your price book (per their sites).
- Ask your bookkeeper. They may already use Dext or similar and can add you.
- Make sure it syncs with Xero or MYOB.

Do I still need to keep paper receipts?
Check the ATO's record-keeping guidance or ask your accountant. Digital copies are generally accepted if they're clear and complete.
What's the best receipt app for tradies?
Dext is a dedicated option. If your job app already scans bills, that might be enough.
