AI quoting apps that write the quote before you're back in the ute
Quoting is the unpaid job every tradie hates. You've done the site visit, and now you need to type up line items at 9pm. The new AI quoting apps let you talk the job through, snap a few photos or upload plans, and get a draft itemised quote back with GST. You still check it and send it, but the typing is done for you.
We checked the seven quoting and estimating tools in our directory against their own sites in October 2026. No paid placements and no invented reviews. Where a price isn't published, we say so.

How to choose
- Small reactive jobs? Start with Insta Quotes, QuickPrice or QuoteKit: talk, snap, send.
- Builder doing plans? Buildxact, Togal.AI or Kreo are takeoff tools, a different beast.
- Check it uses your rates. A quote at someone else's prices is worse than no quote.
- Check the sync. Make sure it pushes to your accounting or job app.
- Always read before you send. AI drafts can miss items or guess quantities.
